Because children have a higher metabolic rate, and energy is based on a good majority of cases, herbs that stimulate circulation are generally to be avoided. Lime Blossom (Tilia europaea): For headaches, digestive disorders, mild and cold / flu with pain in the extremities. A lime-flower tea at night can induce a calm, restful sleep.
Peppermint (Mentha piperita): This is one of the best remedies for trapped wind, nausea and indigestion of food rich or heavy, another area where Mint is excellent in the early stages of a cold, with temperatures ranging and nasal congestion.
Many of these teas can be mixed together (in spite of chamomile and mint seem to be better separated) for fringe benefits, and can be used, suitably diluted, for children - Sometimes it's best to add 5 ml (1 teaspoon) to a normal bottle of juice or water.
In fact, the preparation of their own infusions can be part of the process healing.
Picking herbs can be fun for children too.
